The listing, Dreamcast game: Shenmue has ended.

This game is my son's. He recently bought it at gameworld and it would not work for his system. We took it back and they resurfaced all of the discs and told us that if it didn't work then it was the Dreamcast system rejecting the game for some reason. So, we figure that maybe it will work for someone else. All discs are in good shape and itcomes with all books. The plastic case has a corner missing. Free shipping. No international shipping. No contact from winner within 7 days means that I will relist this item and keep credits.

My son likes this game and wanted to play it so bad. But the gamestore said since the resurfaced all the discs and none of them will play then it is probably his dreamcast system that doesn't like the discs. He has never had that problem with any other discs.

Dreamcasts were THE best pre-motion game system, bar none ... but they are super sensitive. They also have trouble maintaining revolution speed to play top tier games (Shenmue, World Series 2K2). But for gameplay that still is very GAME like without going overboard with artificial reality, it doesn't get better than Dreamcast. I'm on the market for a new system, myself ... I can't play this now, either.

My son gets all of his retro, gamesystems ( atari, sega master, etc.) at Gameworld. I don't know if you have one near you but if not maybe you can look them up online. They might have an online store where you can buy another dreamcast from them.

Cool! I totally agree the the Dreamcast rocks! I have three that work and was considering selling one myself! Shenmue = great game!

I won't buy one without trying it first, because of the rotation speed issue, which eliminates exchanging cash online for one. I literally keep an extra copy of World Series 2K2 in my glove box in the car in case the situation arises, lol.
