I think its 18 inches but I'm not sure. Its at my moms house and ill be there tomorrow so ill check to be sure tomorrow and let you know but I'm pretty sure its 18 inches.

is it plated or sterling silver?

Its sterling silver. It even has 925 stamped on it.

I just checked and it is 18 inches long and it has 925 stamped on it. It also has a lobster claw clasp.
