The listing, SUPERBOWL 97 98 John ELWAY QB Denver BRONCOS Upper Deck card NFL - Free Shipping! has ended.
Okay, I'll be the first one to admit I know basically nothing about football and that's fine with me. I'm not sure how I came to be in possession of this, but in unpacking boxes during my recent move, it showed up. I'm pretty sure John Elway was famous for a time, or maybe still is? Really, that should tell you what I know about football. I'm a baseball gal - if this was a Tampa Bay Rays player, I wouldn't be giving it away. Please ask me pertinent questions about this if you're interested, and I'll try to answer them.
Here's what I'm guessing may be important:
The card says Upper Deck and has the letters GD in the upper left, with what I think says "Game Dated" under it - the type is really small. The background is very silvery/metallic. The type under his photo says "1/25/98: Elway leads the way to a Super Bowl victory" Okay, hmm, so I guess he was famous. On the back of the card, there is a small "97" in the upper right corner. All of his stats from '83 to '97 are on the card. There's a lot of tiny type on the bottom; I'm sure that's some Upper Deck legal info, and an NFL logo next to it. For whatever reason, this card is in a soft plastic sleeve and then covered in a hard plastic sleeve. Geez, this boy had big teeth!
Looks like his number was/is 7, so that'll be my starting bid for this card.
Ships free in the USA or available for local pickup. Please confirm your purchase within two days of winning. If you reply immediately, I'll toss in a freebie as well! Everything comes from a smoke-free home. I'm new to Listia and these listings have been so much fun! I'll continue to add lots more listings soon. I used to sell on eBay since 1998 with over 700 positives at 100%. I stopped a few years ago; this is much more fun!
I love getting watchers, bidders and people who mark me as a fan! I'll try to reciprocate. I've ended up bidding on quite a number of auctions by looking at my fans and bidders pages.
Thanks for checking this out!
