Questions & Comments
Thanks ladies, I got it, but don't like their system of bidding at all. It seems that bidding like this runs up credits too high right away. No where to go but up. It's good for seller but not bidder. Not knowing what the actual bid is causes a bidder to have to bid many many times just to reach the highest bidder status. Think about it. If a bidder waited until the last 30 seconds to bid, they wouldn't have enough time to bid and win the auction. This encourages bidding in high increments throughout the auction. I prefer to bid the normal way, knowing what the amount is that you have to beat.
you sent me a noreply message , but in any case you should start your transaction with your bank as soon as possiable if it takes that long to transfer funds, my theary is to always keep atleast 5 to 10 dollars in my pay pal for reasons such as this, I to need to add funds I bought something on ebay earlier today, but I get a prepaid paypal / ebay card the stores limit is 20 dollars on the card but you have to pay activation fee which is less than 5 dollars, I hope this helps,
Thanks HeidiCo2. I think you and I are the only bidders right now. I really need the ball. I have the main video. Actually, I got it on Listia by being high bidder. But, I can get this ball off the internet. Thanks for all your help. You are a pro.
Thanks HeidiCo2---I'll be sure to bid in large increments and not the small ones I bid. I just didn't know what the highest bid was. The message above on the auction site is misleading. It said I had to bid 201, so I did, but didn't realize someone had set the bid so high, so I bid 41 more times and still never reached highest bidder status. Finally, when someone else bid, I won the current bid with a higher increment. I know this won't last. Does it always work this way?
Is it $3.50 or $3.60 flat rate shipping? Will the ball hold air--no holes? Please answer. I want to bid. What do you mean by "kicking around the house"? Is this meant to be litteral? Or has it been safely stored in a box?
the reason the ball is not blown up is because it is New ' no I did not kick it around was stored in box. I hope that I have answered all questions. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING Happy Bidding.
I really don't understand how this works. I read the bidding rules and still it doesn't make sense to me. It started out at one bid of about 200 credits that someone bid. I kept bidding----about 45 times---higher and higher--- and it kept saying I was outbid. Please explain. It still has my credits of about 800 added to the 200. So, all I did was raise the credit amount for someone else who has already bid. So now they have to bid higher than 1000 credits?
I don't know I'm looking at the bidding at right side and you did put in alot of bids, but it still says that the other person is high bidder, and yes they will have to out bid the 1000 in order to stay on top. OH MY,This action has me confused now,
It would make sense that my bid, once higher than the amount shown on top, would display that I was the higest bidder. For example, above the the 200 credits it said I would have to bid 201 which I did, but it said I was outbid. So, I kept bidding higher and higher but it never said I was the top bidder. The original bids only showed 2 bids on your item. I wish Listia would explain this to me. I've sent them messages before but they never answer. What good is it to display the amount you need to outbid if it isn't correct? Apparently, my 800 credits + the 200 that someone else bid to equal 1000 credits, is not the top bid so far to win this auction. Thanks.
If you start the bidding @ 100 and the other bidder (me) bids much higher... then the smaller the increments the more bids you will have to 'catch up' to the highest bid. The larger the increments the less bids you will have to 'catch up' to the highest bid. Believe me, you will catch on to this and once you do it's so much fun!! Good Luck :)
