Questions & Comments
have you ever seen a penny that had both stamps on one side and blank on the other side?
I have seen many "Vice" jobs in my time. If the lettering & numbers appears backwards on one side then it has been pressed with another coin in a vice. This would not be an error, just someone with too much time on their hands. If it is blank on one side, look for marks that indicate it was buffed or that side may have been taken off with a Dremel tool. By all means, do join us on Coin Talk and you can present your coin there for opinions also. My screen name there is tommyc03. Hope you join our forum. Tom
When i found it i work at a gas station and seen the blank side and it was smooth like a blank but the other side had the heads and tails on it, i don't how they make them but it looked as if it was struck and flipped then stuck again but that was many years ago and my x wife sold it with out me knowing. that was the time before computers but i did look for it in books and seen some a little like it they called a dbl die so if that was a dbl die it was complete. Yes i was pixxx off.
