after staring a long time at this, I am guessing that the cheese is grated on the inside of the drum? what is the inside diameter of the drum?
I guess that I am at a loss as to how this works unless there is an opening that I do not see.

A chunk of cheese goes into that little compartment on the back. It gets grated by turning the handle which comes from Inside the drum and the cheese then falls out to top off a dish. I'm not exactly sure what the diameter is of the drum but I would have to open the box up to find out. I will try to post a video of it to show it in action.

I do not need to know the diameter now that I know where the cheese goes. I was thinking it went inside the drum which made no sense. all is understood now and know that it will work best with dry Parmesan.
I checked my watchlist and see that of the 13 items that I am watching, 9 of them are yours :) I cleaned out my misc. drawer and it looks like it will get filled again with your items :) thank you for the quick response as well

Come to think of it, before I updated the info on this, I can see how you were a bit confused on where the cheese went. I should've stated that and posted the video from the start so you and everyone watching can get a better idea....so that was a mistake on my part. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I love the comment about your watch list. I actually smiled while reading it :)

the video is a perfect addition, it even shows that a soft cheese will work too. I can remember how many times I only needed a small amount of cheese on something and pulling out the food processor was complete overkill as was the big grater only to run the block across 2 - 3 times. still watching and will be a bidder.

Honestly, I wouldn't know anything about cheese graters. I buy them already grated...easy way out, I guess. but when I saw this, I actually bought it for myself bc I know that freshly grated has a totally fresh and better taste. Hubby made a comment about "having too much ****" so with that, I decided to put it on here. I may just buy another one and hide it from him haha! On another note, glad the video helped some :))

I remember a comment in one of your earlier auctions about the items were things that he wanted but ended up just sitting and never used :) I have some of those as well... sounded like a great idea but either too much trouble to use and then clean or just hidden in a drawer where "out of sight, out of mind" comes to mind.
the video is what made me put a bid on this, I would not have without it, so good job of an update to this auction.

Yes! Lol...You remembered correctly! He's like, "Save mine, get rid of yours". He still doesn't know it's gone so he's not missing it. Don't get me wrong though, I like to buy things, especially gadgets of all kinds....I just hide it lol...but I do forget also and it "reappears" after doing some cleaning out. Then the questions come...
Thank you for placing a bid. Glad it helped and I Hope you win :)
