Glossy green pepper are mildly hot and gets more flavorful and hotter as they mature to red. The heart shaped fruits are popular fresh and dried.
Plant at least 2' apart to encourage good air circulation. Stake for stability. Add a match stick or two to the planting hole to boost sulphur a bit.
Heirloom peppers are mildly hot:1,000-2,000 Scovilles. Fruits are about 4” long. The heaviest production begins when nights start to cool.
Peppers are used for chile rellenos and mole.
