The listing, 1967 Skipper Doll With 1969 Skipper Case~Closet has ended.
This unique estate find brought back so many memories... who would not love to give their daughter or granddaughter a vintage item from their own era and especially in this condition!!! Skipper is sporting her regular orange bathing suit and blue beach towel. She is in great shape. Long blond silky hair no matting, Dates on one side of her (oops cheek) 1967 and patent, other side has a small number 4, but I did a close up shot to not put anything unappropriated on here. Her case has a few marks on the back see pic of pink back, and on the side small dent at the bottom, and the clasp closure the metal has some worn spots on it but does work great and the inside still looks great, has a side compartment for skipper to be stored a bench on the other side for her to sit on which pulls out to store her clothes and the top has a bracket to hang little clothes. Free shipping :)
thanks, it reminded me of when I was a kid I had this and all kinds of other dolls. I do not have mine anymore. But someone took pretty good care of this one. Thanks for commenting.
the clothes was the best part. Grams would also sew clothes and gramps would be in the garage making a bed and wardrobe closet. I would day now grams make barbie in style and grandpa can you make her a princess canopy bed and he did, he welded the top of the wood bed and grandma made curtains for it!!! I was such a lucky kid! I dont have the dolls any more but I do have the stuff family made <3
Its so cute I love the older dolls. I just really did not know should I list it in toys or collectibles since it is older... but I think it will be fine here good luck fingers crossed for you :)
This is an awesome find haven't seen a skipper in years! Did you ever have the Dawn dolls? They were smaller yet! If you do run across on grab it there worth thousands! Had them all, Dad had hots for gal with 6 kids and gave everything to them...ugh!
I have seen them but did not know. I will look out next time, I bid on her because she was in such great shape. Most older toys/dolls are not because kids love them to pieces lol :)
I was surprised about the condition usually the dolls their hair is so bent up that you can not get the shape back from kids playing with them. That I usually never messed with them, they do not sale well because of that and the cases are usually so stained up and not great again from kids loving their toys, but then no one wants them like that. Because she was so good condition and the case was I just had to win this one. Thank you so much for commenting :)
Ya I learned about there value at the fair the last time I went, it may less now could be higher it's been 10 years ago! I was totally shocked! I haven't seen him since then. I loved all my dolls but understand some kids are pretty ruff on them...lol
Thank you very much, very appreciated and means the world to me to see nice people on here :) I will be listing two more vintage toys this week one is a tin spinning top and the other is the monkey with cymbals. Both older pieces but my favorite is the doll, but I was such a doll girl growing up...lol.. All my babies were sick and I nursed them back to health...lol... the imaginations we have as children are priceless :D
I had the dawn dolls, I am 57 and I still have 2 of them I have my first barbie the one with the bubble hair no bending legs and when she sat her legs went wide lol I had twiggy, the flying nun and remember the nurse Julia and although I did not get a skipper, my sister did I had and still do her cousin Doddie. Great auction even if I don't win thanks for the trip down memory lane
Fun Auction! My girl friend had this one! Ahhh, the sixties.... Great memories, goes right along with the Brady Bunch. LOL Thanks for sharing the great pictures! :)
