The listing, 1942 WWII Jefferson Head Nickel may be Silver 3 Day Auction has ended.

A wartime 1942 nickel. Not actually sure if nickel is silver or not. The nickel has been circulated a little but is in over all fine shape. Will send in regular postage mail. Feel free to fan me, watch the auction, and leave questions or comments. Have fun bidding!!!!!!!!

yes the letter is a mint mark and is either P,D OR S

only 1942-45 nickels with a mint mark above the dome on the reverse are 35% silver.

If there is no mint mark then usally it is a P. P is the only one that dont put their mint mark
