The listing, Size 6 ring has ended.

This is a vintage gold ring. There is not a stamp but the large magnet I have doesn't attach itself to it. I was told that is one way to tell if a item is gold or not--I am not an expert by any means so we'll call it costume. I am not sure of the stone. Maybe someone can tell us what kind it is. The back of the ring where the stone is is open. I think this is a size 6. If you can tell anything about this piece I would appreciate the help. Enjoy

Nice ring! Although gold would not get affected by magnet that does not mean is gold, there are many metals which do not react to magnets, there are several test but the most accurate is with nitric acid.... Still is a very nice ring :)

Thanks. There was a lady at the flea market that told me to check to see if something is gold to use a strong magnet. I wasn't sure if it was true or not. Now I know better thanks. I don't know how to use nitric acid.. guess I'll just look for a stamp of some kind.

Yes, gold will not react to a magnet but that does not mean it is gold it would mean if it would react that it is not.... Anyway I hope that helps and as I said I think it is beautiful :)

All I can tell you is that the stone is a sapphire. As far as the color :) Other than that, this is very cute, it's my birthstone, but a size is small for me :(
