Combine this shrub with green-leafed plants for an interesting contrast. Grows to 5 feet tall and wide, maintaining a dense form with little maintenance. The silvery foliage is contrasted by small orange blossoms. The intricate orange flower balls attract butterflies in spring and summer. It prefers full sun exposures and well-drained soils.

Maintenance
Plant woolly butterfly bush in full sunlight and in soil with good drainage. It requires no supplemental fertilizer. Water established woolly butterfly bush every two weeks in summer, every month in winter. Prune it to within a foot or two of the ground every two or three years to maintain shape and reinvigorate the plant. Woolly butterfly bush will become floppy and subject to rot when over-watered or grown in heavy clay soils.
