The dvd is in English it has subtitles in different languages including engiish

No I know that lol I mean the region code, if you look at the DVD it should have a number in a symbol that looks like a world. I can only play region 2 DVD's or DVD's that are suitable to all regions, most American DVD's have the region code of 1
