ok, I just read the recall on this chair and yes there IS a recall, but if you follow the guidelines they talk about, they should recall food as well, NO child should EVER be unattended at ANYTIME, would you leave yer baby alone to feed themselves? would you leave your baby alone to bathe themselves? well if you do then your unfit. These seats are safe if used correctly, just as anything!

I believe after the recall, the Bumbo seats had to include the notice not to use them on elevated surfaces (legalities) unattended, etc. They were allowed to be sold after the recall with this notice either printed on the box or the seat itself (I haven't seen the newest models personally up-close). The only problem with them was that parents were not using them in a safe fashion (which would seem obvious to most parents). If used on a high surface, unattended or not, a baby could possibly tump it over, especially an older baby with the strength to do so and the height/weight ratio for the physics to work. It is common sense, but do keep this in mind when using one.

they should if theyre a mother, but for the ones who are worried about the recall, do what I did, a simple Google search for Bumbo recall will bring up the article and you can read for yourself, and if Im not mistaken there is a "caution" printed on the back of the bumbo that she has posted on the 3rd one, I thinkl and Im sure if ya ask twinz, she will tell ya what it says, its way too small for my old eyes to read on here lol
