Thanks. I thought so, too but the ends are different-one is a usb type, the other is larger and has "flaps" on the end. That's why I took such a close up of it.

u can plug this into any usb port and then plug any usb device into the other end. this is a USB Extension Cord. For example: I bought an external DVD Drive for my laptop and the cord that came with it is to short, i added a 6ft USB Extension Cord (like what you have) and now I can reach my DVD drive.
