Description
The listing, Molton Fire (Seeds) has ended.
Amaranth 'Molten Fire' Amaranthus gangeticus
One of the most colorful amaranths, this stunning variety is grown for its bright, glowing crimson-maroon foliage. Quickly growing to 4' high, these are excellent plants for long-lasting fillers for beds or toward the back of your garden. The leaves are edible and also make great "cut flowers" to brighten indoor flower arrangements. They do produce a dark red seed head composed of tiny flowers but the flowers go mostly unnoticed because of the showy foliage. May self-seed in some zones. BONUS: I have decided I will send some coffee bean seeds with these as a Bonus gift. If you want them. If you don't, just let me know.
Questions & Comments
did you know, it has some of the highest iron content of any vegetable known to the USFDA? and it's really pretty...and ooohhhh....coffee! *watching eagerly*
If you are at all familiar with Amaranthus, you know the seeds are extremely small. i don't know how many exactly but you can see by my feedback that I do send a good amount. I send plenty to allow you to seed a good size area or a large pot full.
