Hi. I just bid as my hard drive died right in the middle of backing up a dvd, and now that I bid I am becoming worried that this may be the wrong hard drive! :( This will burn movies and cd's right? I don't know "alot" about these things, I know how to run a computer but when I seen the /RW on the listing, it leads me to believe that it burns, and I PRAY that that means movies too~or I'm up a creek! UGH! Don't know what to do here, and I don't have alot of money so I am sooo hopeful that I bid on the right thing here.

This will READ/WRITE (write=burn) CD's only. It has NOTHING to do with DVD discs of any style.

you CAN "burn" videos using this to CD-R's as files, VCD discs (wannabe DVD's playable on most DVD players that can hold up to 93 minutes of video), DATA backups, mp3 discs, music CD's & Picture Discs.

You can NOT burn DVD's or read DVD discs of any kind.
