Description

The listing, Vintage Vials for Whatever! has ended.

This is a metal drawer apparantly from a watch company called Hamilton Watch. From the auction I went to I got 5 drawers I believe but, alas, no cabinet.
The vials in this drawer are numbered from 1 through 140. Some of them have watch stems in them but most are empty. The paper label around ea. vial states HAMILTON, a crest of some sort, and the number of the vial. Unless I have overlooked something, all labels are intact, and all vials are present through 140. I do notice however, that vial #131 has the top of it's cork broken, otherwise all looks good. There are also 8 small plastic containers in this drawer, I am presuming for extra storage containers as those darn watch parts are so tiny, I'd have them all lost :+).
This is way cool for someone that collects watches, parts, vials or does mixed media, steampunk, altered art, etc. I have another drawer with vials numbered 141 through 280 in the same very good condition that I will auction here if this goes well! I cannot believe these vials are in such great shape and all there! These would make great wire wrapped pendants as I got some other vials from this auction and did just that! I did not want to compromise the order of these consecutively numbered vials in case they would be of real interest to someone. So, dear bidder, happy bidding :+).

I wish all the soliciting were done by personal message, not here on this auction page for all of us to see. Thanks for offering this up to us on Listia. Hard to find this kind of item intact. Peace.

For shipping, you put a bubble wrap on top of the glass and then something like stiff cardboard, to cover, tape all around, then put inside a box, so that it's "floating" with packing or air space all around it. I used to use balloons that I blew up a little, to make a cushion air space and they don't weigh anything at all. My daughter would love these, and I have plenty of sea glass, shells and tiny things to go inside, or maybe beads, or.....

Thanks for the shipping info. I have gotten such good ideas for this and future reference! These vials will work perfectly for almost anything tiny. I cannot believe they are in such great shape. I have another drawer of vials that I might put on here :+) .

Actually I am going to trade some of it with a couple listians that have items that I use in my jewelry designing. I could be interested in doing that with you, depending on what you have to trade. If you are not interested in that, we could probably work something out. I always enjoy co,d, hard, cash lol :+) !
