Description
The listing, New Dog Water Bottle w/Rollerball - Please Read... has ended.
This is a water bottle with rollerball for dogs. The inside is stainless steel. Great for long walks outside. Comes with carabiner hook. Good size for medium and large size dogs. Measures 10" tall.
Please note: This was purchased for my other dog and it has been personalized. She never took to it and it's been stored since. My new pup is the same way and she turned her face). It was never "licked" by either dog. I would consider this in new, never used condition. There is a mark on the bottom but it came that way. The last photo shows how it's done.

One great idea, to bad I don't have a dog right now. Will check out your other auctions. Please check out my auctions Thanks! Have a great weekend & a VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
I thought the same thing when I first bought this. It's different than the average travel bowl...makes it easier. Thank you for checking out my auctions and I will check out yours as well. Happy Mother's Day to you, too! :)
My thoughts exactly! I used to do the same thing with the water bottle and figured they must have something that's dog friendly....then I came across this. Although my dogs didn't take to it, I still think it's a great idea. Thank you for commenting!! :)
I usually put all the necessary information in my listings but this one just slipped my mind! It was one of those days. I guess...ugh! Okay, now I'm so curious lol...im gonna go check it and let you know.
The amount of oz. will help bidders get a good idea what size dogs this would be great for:) Mine is a blue heeler, my hiking buddy:) This is perfect for summer time!
Yes, I totally agree!! That was why I put medium to large size dogs but I never thought to put the amount of ounces. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Couldn't believe I was way off on my guess. The 8 oz. makes a difference.
I dont know who made this bottle, but they dont know how dogs drink! Thats probably why youre dogs cant drink from it! Dogs need to be able to scoop water up and they take it up with their tongues backwards. "Dogs lap, or take up, the water with their tongues curled backward. As they lap, they move their tongues very quickly to build up momentum. That forces the water into a column and up into their mouths.
The Virginia Tech researchers filmed 19 dogs of different sizes and breeds as they drank water. They created different laboratory models to measure tongue motion, and the amounts of water taken in.".... Just an FYI. It would be great for carrying water, but not for drinking from it for sure.
Honestly, I have no clue who came up with this idea. If memory has it, I got it off some animal/pet website but can't think of the name....it was awhile ago.
I did see one time, and one time only...at a dog field near me, a dog drinking out of a bottle that looks like the picture I posted of the dog licking it. I'm not sure if it was some kind of adapter or something like this (rollerball). When you tilt this bottle downward, the water does sprinkle out a bit, enticing the dog to drink if it's thirsty. But.....who knows! I'm guessing some dogs will get it and some won't. Thanks for commenting. Good info!
I found it be kinda crazy, years ago when i found out how dogs actually drink, so I was shocked seeing this design for a dog bottle! But like I said, even if a dog doesnt take to this, its still a great bottle to carry water in!
