Most of us tend to keep things plugged up or don't let the battery run completely out, that's why a battery runs on a short charge after awhile.

I just ought a could Dell Latatude D600's after Christimas. I am still shopping for a cheap battery, but as far as a really good deal for as-is laptop fo surfing or composing.... old Dell's are the best.

is similar to a netbook, which are laptop drives but cd / dvd, the solution is simple just have to have an external device to read cd / dvd and these are connected to the USB port. This allows us to play whatever you want.

If this has no floppy drive nor a DVD/CD drive how would you do a factory reinstall or install components that use these formats to install drivers? Just wondering...

There are various external devices, such as a USB floppy drive or CD / DVD external USB, these can be bought in any store or shop online (this laptop does not come with any of these devices) but brings the USB port you connect to any storage device (CD, DVD, Floppy, USB MEMORY, etc.
