Description

The listing, Texas Red Yucca Seeds has ended.

This listing is for 30+ seeds of Hesperaloes, often referred to Red Aloe or Red Yucca. Hesperaloes are neither in the Aloe nor Yucca families, but rather, they are in the Agave family of plants.
Hummingbirds love visiting this native Texan (and Mexican) plant], and the red-pink blooms are beautiful! It has a higher moisture tolerance than many other succulents, and can do well in colder climates (although it may not flower if left outdoors in winter).
The benefits of adding this plant to your garden include its drought-tolerance, heat resistance, low maintenance needs and it serves as a spineless alternative to Agave or Yucca

Umm...
Will these winter over in USDA Zone 7b? This past winter was fairly mild, but, the previous 3 we had blizzards.

Hesperaloes are a desert plant, drought-tolerant and require little water to survive, so I would recommend growing these in pots so you can over-winter them indoors if you suspect anything more than a 2-3 day freeze. We get mild freezes (1-3 days) where I live and they do fine, but for anything more than a mild winter I would bring them indoors just to be on the safe side.
