The listing, Hob Nob Aqua Vaseline (?) Vase Flower look top has ended.
This aqua and milk colored vase I believe to be Vaseline glass because it contains uranium. I tried my little aquarium black like on it and it glows green, the pics really do not pick it up just parts of the rim, but when holding it each nob is real green. Stands 4 inches tall three inches wide at the widest part. Great Vintage find cute as can be and the top opening resembles a flower.
Well, I have to add my two cents here… This is spectacular and whoever wins it will be one lucky person! Wish it was me but I just don't have the credits right now :(
Awww, thank you and I always try to see things as that means something better is coming, that you just dont know about yet :) You will know it when you see it :)
I didn't know that either! I have one and wonder now if it will glow in the dark too! I do know that this vase up for auction is valuable indeed! Fenton glass vases are highly collectible.
While browsing I came across this vase and I actually really like it. But the reason I'm writing is because...what a smart idea to shine a black light to it. I never would of thought to do that. We all seem to pick up new ideas and learn something new everyday ! Wonderful!
Hi there. That's a beautiful vase looks like a Fenton Hobnail Opalescent Blue Fan Vase, at least that's what I would call it. I'm a vintage store owner. I'm always researching these things. Hope this helps.
I about fell out of my chair when I saw this..lol..I go to a lot of estate sales & thrift stores & have never seen another one..I checked ebay for awhile to see if I could find a match with no luck so this is very hard to come by in this beautiful color..It stands out more than other glass art because of the uranium..I am sooo excited :)
lol... I checked the sites also and could not find it. So I figured it is not a common piece...but it is too cute so I listed it. Yep it needs a buddy :D My huge dog thinks he has to dust the house with his tail...lol... so a lot of the glass is going :D I will be listing a set of carnival glass also that looks like a lotus blossom when put together :D
yes that is what I found out & I have other pieces that do the same..The color of this is very striking & unique..It is extra pretty in the window sill on a full moon too especially during winter with snow on the ground..One of the best auctions on Listia & now I need to win it..lol..it will have a few friends here :)
Winner will love the beautiful glow in the sunshine & moonlight..I have the exact same piece I bought at a thrift store in north Wisconsin when I moved here 13 years ago so maybe it was a part of a set & some of it floated across the big lake..lol..
Seriously, I did research & I'm thinking mine is a vaseline glass too but not sure..Very stunning & vibrant..Gives my black light a reason to live..watching/recommending/hoping to bid :)
Your grammar is excellent. The vase is spectacular. The pattern is hobnail, (although I like the the term hob nob) I believe yours is an early Fenton piece.
lol... thank you, I have not seen this color before, usually white. But I think it is Vaseline glass because it glows under the black light, I just wished my phone could pick up how I seen it :D
