Description

The listing, 10ct Two Tone Claddagh Wedding Ring Set has ended.

I am auctioning off my handfasting ring set. They're not doing anyone any good just sitting in a safe.

The rings are sized: Ladies 6.5 / Gents 12.5.

They are 10 carat gold, with a band of white gold with claddaghs all around the rings.

They were made for me in Ireland. Combined they were about $460.

The green ring box is included.

Both rings have some wear, as they were worn for 5 years, and could use a good polish (which I don't have anything to polish them with).

They need to go to a good home. :) <--awkward smiley

Wow how beautiful and just amazing. Today is actually our 6 month anny., and because of the ecomony we never had a formal wedding, just a court house one. Nor did we have enough to exchange rings with obe another, ssssooooooooooooooooooooooo hoping I can win the bid on these!!!!!!! What a wonderful gift they would be for mny husband and myself to have and share together!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers are crossed.....................:)

Yes the mourning period is over. 1 yr. is socially acceptable. LOL F&W also. Am reaffirming our vows in April in a chruch this time. A judge married us 12 yrs. ago. I even get to wear a wedding gown. Got it in an Ivory color because I am slightly used! lol

wow,you kept them for a year after divorce?! that's kinda centimentally nice. Alot of people get rid of them before the divorce is even final, I did, but then, he was an abusive husband too sooooo..... anyhow, very pretty! fanned and watching! Please check out my auctions and fan back. Thanks!! :))

Abusiveness sucks. I tend to be sentimental about certain things.. It still felt awkward listing them, but I know it's the right thing to do. Fanning.

to those that have issue(s) with the size, they can be re-sized smaller(and the right person can enlarge them(of coarse it costs some cash, but is lower then buying the set at todays prices)
@Laura66Dee i still have my wedding ring we been apart for at least 15yrs.(these were costume made(made in 1965) yellow bands with white gold highlighting the details(ashame i couldn't get her part of the set)cost me more to have them made then they're really worth(but they're one of a kind)AND yes if i had complete set i would have them posted, doubt if they would sell. But at least we're still close friends as we were before we married.

First off, these are lovely. You have really great taste. You said that you had them made... did you get to choose all the Celtic symbols that were incorporated in the design? And if so, do you remember what they mean? I'm just asking because my fiancee and I are atheist and don't want anything symbolizing any gods on our wedding bands. We figure the claddagh is okay because we both love 1800s European symbolism and it's not really associated with any faith, to our knowledge. Plus, we both have some Irish heritage. We are unsure about the Celtic symbols though. Does Celtic just refer to a race of people or is it also a religion? Thanks in advance.

Original
The only imagery are the claddagh and some celtic knotwork design, repeated througout the outer circumference of the ring. Celtic refers to the people of Ireland, however none of these symbols really have any religious meaning. There is meaning behind the Claddagh though, if the ring is worn on the right hand, heart facing the fingernails, the person is single and looking; if the ring is worn on the left hand, heart facing the fingernails, the person is single but their heart belongs to someone (or they're not looking), and if the crown is toward the fingernails, the person has her king/queen. Not a religious symbol though.
