Questions & Comments
With these stencils, would you just remove A Star cutout, stick to your nail, paint over then remove? I've never used stencils before, and I'm thinking about trying them. Have you used these? Honestly, how well do they work? Are the lines sharp or does it bleed out a little? Sorry for all the questions lol thank you :)
The stencil is meant to have the stars removed and you paint over the empty spaces and then remove the stencil. The trick with stencils is to paint your nail the desired color and make sure it is dried COMPLETELY! I usually will paint the base color and then put a quick-dry top coat over and wait several minutes to make sure it is completely dry. Then you place the stencil over your nail and press down on all the edges firmly (which is why having completely dry nails is important) and then paint over the stencil, filling in the stars with the desired accent color. Then you remove the stencil while the nail polish is still wet (very important) because if you let the nail polish dry and then try to remove the stencil, it will peel up the paint with it. I have had very good results with these - but the trick is to be patient and make sure everything is dry so you can firmly press down. I usually only do an accent nail in stencils - as doing all 10 is time consuming and I'm not that patient, lol, but I have seen some beautiful manicures done. I have only recently gotten into nail art and honestly, I learned everything from watching YouTube videos - ahaha! Cute Polish and MissJennFabulous are two channels I watch regularly for nail art tutorials but if you just search "simple nail art tutorials" or "easy nail art" there are TONS of fabulous videos that can probably explain 100x better than I just did :) :)
Thank you! You explained perfectly! Ugh, now I want these AND the tribal lines haha I wish I had the credits for both!!! But thank you again! You've been very helpful, and thankfully very tolerant of all my questions haha
