it works on any electric or battery operated device that will open and allow you to place it inside next to the battery.

So since you can't open the iPhone 6's backing does that mean it won't work? I have a case that I use & if I put it up to the back & have the case over it to hold it then will that be sufficient enough or will it just not work like that ?

it's got a sticky back but I don't believe that that would be close enough to the battery to grab the rays. You can try.
