opend but never used, you can record a msg in the pic fram on the cover-it takes 3 4.5v batteries(you can get at dollar store)comes with two sheets of stickers-one is all letters, a pg for instructions for the pic frame recorder, first pgs you record babies info, then theres a place for a photo album, the very last pg is a built in folder. however not sure what is on there but the bottom near the center of the pg is stuck a little. you can still access the folder since it opens at the top. you could get it apart but i didnt want to be the one to do it
