The listing, 30GB WHITE iPod NOT In Normal Working Condition!!! has ended.

I have had this 30 GB iPod and it turns on and shows the Apple Logo but then it has that familiar "Sad Face" everyone talks about. I'm not really sure what's wrong with it but it makes a clicking noise when you turn it on like it's trying to catch and turn something on the inside. It doesn't hold a charge Well either. If you are savvy with computers maybe you can fix it or use it for parts

Yea I'm not a electronic person so I am not sure what can be done that's why I said it can be used for parts because I know the buttons and other things are in demand sometimes. It just clicks as it turns and won't hold a charge but it can power so something's working it's just probably the hard drive in it and needs to be fixed replaced or just use for parts.

In most cases, the sad iPod icon indicates a hardware issue. If you are able to force iPod into Disk Mode, then it may not be a hardware issue, and you should try to restore your iPod with the latest software.

If you cannot force your iPod into disk mode and restore it, then your iPod is in need of service. Set up an iPod Service Request or make a reservation at the Genius Bar before visiting your local Apple Retail Store. To make a reservation:
1.Go to http://www.apple.com/retail/storelist/.
2.Choose an Apple Store location.
3.Click the Reserve link under Genius Bar.
4.Choose iPod.
5.Select your desired reservation date and time.

For an easy to follow QuickTime movie, view the Troubleshooting & Extras section of the iPod Tutorials at www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial.

thanks I actually have gone through most of these processes except the genius bar. I was able to force it into disk mode but I couldn't figure out what to do after that and it ended up getting back to this point and I have an iPhone and an iPod touch so I just don't need it anymore.

I'm not sure actually. when I get home I will see if I can find out but I don't think I'll be home before the auction ends. I would only be able to check by the way it look and the info on the back just like the pictures so maybe you an google it.
