The listing, 1790 King George III has ended.

This coin is a metal detecting find, not far from the original port in Havre de Grace, MD. IT IS DATED 1790 with King George III on it. I'm a collection of old U.S. coins and currency, and I do not know much of foreign coins. I go metal detecting in hopes of finding good old U.S. coins and colonials, this is a colonial coin, just from the wrong country! The quarter is in the picture to show the size of the other coin, and is not included in the auction.

I researched your offered auction item and this is what I discovered . An interesting and highly collectable antique ,1790 'Spade Guinea' token/gambling token/jeton - King George III . This is a copy struck in brass of George III (King of England) gold guinea coins . It was used as a token/jeton in various card games and board games across Europe and the new world countries. They were all produced sometime in the mid 1800's , dating from the early 1700's to 1840. I hope this helps the members to understand what it is that you are offering at auction . . / M .
