Thanks, will fan you too. No the edges are raw. I just pulled it out again & the middle has a definite purple stripe going down it..I think it's intentional. I won it here in a "jumble" of fabrics. It's kind of an L shaped remnant...the 14.5" x 4" gives you TWO pieces plus the 11 x 14 square shown in the first pic. It's all 1 piece though. Glad ya like it
