FREE: Vintage table runner

The listing, Vintage table runner has ended.

Measurements: 40" long, 14"wide. Excellent hand embroidery of a little Dutch girl on 'homespun' type linen. I believe this piece was probably originally for and from the era of "bureau linens": a piece of cloth place on the top of the bureau/chest of drawers for easier dusting & to keep the wood from being marred. It is edged in vintage cotton lace. The piece has some edge wearing that is completely repaired (what do you expect, it's antique and was definitely used). This is a very sweet piece...would even make a very sweet hand towel in the right bath.
