Whom ever is bidding on this has COMCAST internet... this will not work for you. I have one and have been fighting it..... works great as a regular router though..... you just have to have another router between your modem and this.

yes this cable modem/router can be used either way with Ethernet going in or cable going in it is great for setting up a home network wired or wireless I just don't need it i have 3 already on my home network part of my home network is wired and part is wireless.
