The listing, Vintage Antique Wood Boxes Lot of 2 Cedar Holds Jewelry Memory Boxes has ended.

This auction is for both of these old wood boxes.
Made of cedar..both are in great condition--one of them has a broken latch but does not affect the opening and closing
The hinges are in great shape
Both boxes show normal wear..I think they are from the 60's and/or 70's
One is marked "Galveston Texas"
One is unmarked

The larger one measures 7" x 4"
The other one measures 6 1/2" x 3 1/2"
One is 2" high and the other a bit shorter

Our graduating class (1976) all got one of these little boxes from the Lane Co. (Logo was on the bottom) from a local furniture store which sold Lane furnishings along with the infamous "Hope Chest". Every family had one! I guess basically it was a token to come look in their store. I'm 59 and still have mine!

These are beautiful. I graduated in 1978 and still have mine. My mom still has hers from 1958 too!!!
