Trancas geodes were first found in 1973 near Estacion Rancasm Aldama, Chihuahua Mexico. Mostly hollow, these geodes are largely chalcedony (non-crystalline quartz), milky and blue quartz with white and blue calcite as secondary minerals. About 30% of these have curly projections (which we call "worms") up to one-half inches in length. Most of these geodes fluoresce a very brilliant green under short wave Ultra Violet light. Blue Fluorescence is calcite. This geode is approx 2 inches round ..You get a care sheet explaining how to open it ,...Happy Bidding !!!! Good luck !!!!
