It is paperback, and there are no rips or anything. i didn't even finish reading it. the cover looks a little frayed on some of the edges because i used to carry it around in my purse.

Usually yes... but I really don't know for this one. I never saw the movie. But the book is super detailed. I just don't think I'll ever have the time to read it now... I am in school for my BA in History.

I love the books and refuse to watch the movie bc it is completely horrible. I suggest this book to any avid reader, its amazing!!!

I read the book once a few years ago and it was amazing, a little slow at the start but well worth it. I saw the movie and they changed soooo many things, and it was terrible.
