Im cleaning out my storages and i dont have the time i used too with having 5 children now apposed to 1 when i started drawing. too busy being taxi to 5 children that r very active in sports. couldnt seem to let them go before i found this site(listia)
as a matter of fact i do. my third son levi-12 is very good at anything artistic from drawing to singing and music. when he was small he used to tell me "mamma, im an artist" the only problem is that with 2 older and 1 younger brother, they would make fun of him . so he focused on baseball, football and wrestling. he is very good at all of those as well. i just hope as he get older and matures that he learns that being artistic is a gift and doesnt make him a sissy. i ALWAYS tell him that liking and being very good at a variety of differentn thing will take him far in scholl and then life
another way to say that art does not say your a "sissy" look at all the tattoo artists out there with original designs. I support art, I'm more of anime/manga myself, not much luck with realistic art. some of my designs have been used for tattoos.
Here's an idea...get your son a sketchbook give him a couple of your drawing pencils or colored pencils, etc. and encourage him to start a sports journal. He can draw and write about plays, events, friends, still life drawings of his equipement, etc. things he's involved in and might like to have a memory of.
