Description

The listing, Formosa Lily Seeds has ended.

This lily has a very sweet fragrance. It needs full sun to partial shade. It's blooms are from 5-6" long and blooms from mid to late summer. Each year it gets taller until reaching its full height of about 6-8'. It will not bloom from seed until the 2-3 rd year but well worth the wait. If you want seeds leave the bloom on until it fads but if you want a large number of flowers cut them off when they start to fade. 10 seeds plant about 1 1/2 to 2" deep and be patient they will come up

Hi,
About how far apart should they be planted? Also, are they winter hardy in Zone 7b?
Thanks

You can plant them close 6-8" apart or spread them out. Not sure about winter hardy in your zone you can google them to see. I am 8b and mine die all the way back in winter and come back each spring. Once they are established they form a type of bulb under the ground. If you don't harvest the seeds you will have a lot that come up from scattered seeds. One of the things I love about them. Mine don't usually bloom until the 2nd year but that might be different in different zones.
