The listing, Used U.S. Stamp #4463 44¢ Kate Smith has ended.
With this 2010 stamp, the U.S. Postal Service honors Kate Smith (1907-1986), the celebrated singer and entertainer whose signature song, “God Bless America” (composed for her by Irving Berlin), has been called America’s unofficial national anthem.
The stamp art duplicates artwork created for the cover of a CD titled, “Kate Smith: The Songbird of the South.” The artwork was based on a photograph of Smith taken in the 1960s.
This stamp has been removed from the paper and the adhesive has been completely removed with not even a trace of stickiness at all. (A bit time-consuming since these don't release in water, but I find the stamps always look better this way.) Nice condition with no rips, creases or thins. I am not a professional stamp grader though so please use the picture to decide the condition for yourself.
These are extras in my collection. Maybe someone here would appreciate adding this to their collection. The picture shows the exact stamp you will receive.
