Way to go Bunny and thank you for explaining the China thing...I have purchased lots of jewelry thinking it was solid sterling only to learn, the hard way, it was just plated...doesn't take away from the beauty of the rings but your honesty and transparency are a breath of fresh air! I still wear a LOT of these rings and always get tons of compliments! Linda :)

If I could find the same beautiful rings in Sterling I would be in heaven!! Many people, myself included back in the day, thought I had found the deal of a lifetime..LOL!!

The International sellers always say their items are sterling silver, but in the info description it is either plated or filled. TRUE filled jewelry can last a very long time, however, the International kind is usually a very thin filling.

I try and stick to those I know do the best job in the making of items. I have discovered, to my dismay, even Hermosa has much of their jewelry overlaid, not solid :(

Why say "plated" when it is marked "925" which indicates sterling ?

925 usually specifies Solid Sterling, however, countries like China can mark them anyway they want. These are plated with sterling, but they are NOT solid sterling :) I hope this helps.
This is why buyers and sellers need to use care in their descriptions. if I say Sterling Silver it is because either I have personally tested the item or have purchased it from a company who sells sterling! Prior experience with my vendors has taught me who has genuine items and whose items are not :)
