If you are talking about a burnt cd (CD-R) then yes. Is that what you're asking?

No, cd's can be burn't with all types of different files, Will it play a cd that has been burnt in an mp3 format.
The only reason I ask is all of my books are in mp3 format and I have already bought 2 of these with the assurance they would play mp3 and they don't. Most of these that will play mp3 will say it somewhere on the player itself
