Description
The listing, Vintage Miniature Bible has ended.
First, before I describe this, please know I don't want to insult anyone with listing this. In my opinion it is a part of the history of the 1930's. That is when I think this is from, miniature Bibles were very popular in that era. There are no torn pages, it is in very good condition. Thanks for looking :+) .
Questions & Comments
very cool. too bad you are not willing to ship it.
Decades ago, I did my (Masters) archival internship at The American Bible Societyat Columbus Circle in New York City. I have a similar (not the same publication) Bible which I took in and the woman who was the head of the Bible library said that "tiny Bibles such as these are hard to come by; they were either lost or family members hang on to them for dear life, or they are so small they don't even know they have them." Obviously, mine is small. Within the last year, I cannot recall where I read it, and I have searched the Internet since seeing this offering and cannot find the article... which said small Bibles such as these are a rarity. I wish I could find the article! Whatever, my purpose for indicating this within is that whomever is bidding is getting something of worth!!!!!! To THE SELLER, I sincerely hope you get its value! Best of luck to all concerned!
Thank you so very much for your wonderful input. It seems some things on listia do go for their value, and others not so much, but I think that is with all auctions. Maybe that's why we all love them! Some of my items I think I have had forever! And they need to go to someone who will get better use of them, so I do hope whomever gets this will appreciate it. Thanks again Archivesisis.
