There are no markings on it indicating one or the other.

The safe assumption would be no; I'll dig around to see if there is a speed test I can run that will tell me.

I think if you plug in a known USB 2.0 device (with this cable attached) to a known 2.0 port, and the cable is 1.0 or 1.1, XP will pop up a msg about "this device can perform faster) yada yada..if not it's cool and I'll be bidding on it. Thanks
