It's almost spring!!! I don't know about you, but I have cabin fever SO BAD right now. LOL. The only thing that's keeping me sane until the snow melts, is dreaming of my summer garden!
Last years garden yielded some happy, fat seed pods.
One June Beauty that made a lot of seeds was the Bleeding Heart!
When I moved to Maine, my parents gifted me some of their Bleeding Hearts from their shady woodland garden.
These lovelies have been blooming profusely since the very first year. I was shocked last year to notice that they produce seed pods!!!
My Pinks are next to the White plants. I don't know if they have been cross pollinated by the bees, so no guarantees what color offspring the seeds will produce. Likely the same as parent plants, but you never know what beautiful oddity may appear! :)
Winner will get a minimum of 10 seeds, 5 pink and 5 white.
These seeds were collected last Aug - Sept, stored in a dark, dry place, waiting to be planted!
Your seeds will ship in padding to prevent crushing or damage. I will include a print-out of planting instuctions.
Bleeding Hearts like shady to part shade. I have heavy clay soil, and I have amended the soil with organic matter before planting these. They prefer rich, moist soil.
