Brand New Faceted Aquamarine/Blue Topaz Ring!

I received this ring from another Listian, but I don't wear gold, only silver. It's a beautiful ring, though, and the blue faceted stone is actually a lot lighter than what you see in the photos (that's why I described it as aquamarine or blue topaz). This is brand new and is marked with what looks like "BY" inside the ring. I honestly don't know what this means, but you can view it in the photos. I believe it's a size 7 1/2-8, as it fits loosely on my size 7 finger, but snugly on my size 8 finger. This is my best guess, as I know my finger size, but don't have a ring sizer.

I think it's real gold, because I see a mark where it looks like it has been sized. I have several rings where the 14k mark has been removed because I have such small fingers, it gets taken out when sized down. Is the gold color as dark in person as it looks in these pictures? Thank You! & yes that makes it better than I originally thought!!

That would be great if it's real gold, but I'm not sure. The Listian I received it from said it was gold tone, but it is marked, so again...not sure. The gold looks the same color in person as it does in the photos, in my opinion. Perhaps I'll have time to take it to the jeweler and find out...

Yeah, it's too late for me to keep it, but I haven't liked gold for a long time now (well, yellow gold). I much prefer silver, but some things are still very pretty in the yellow gold. I just don't like how it looks on me. If it is real gold, I could've sold it for good money probably, as yellow gold is worth a lot now, right? :)
