Provenance: This button belonged to me. I was the only female Punk Rocker at my school during this time and I purchased this button pin from a shop near Bleecker Bob’s in NYC right before I was to begin my senior year in high school. It was the 1980s, when there was still a sense of bohemian magic in the air there in NYC, long before the cell-phone & designer handbag toting-Starbucks sipping-Crate & Barrel shopping-obscenely rich folks moved on in and destroyed it all.
