The listing, "SWEETHEART HOYA"--GREAT SUCCULENT--BEAUTIFUL/UNUSUAL/RARE!! L@@K!!! has ended.
WHOOPPIE---another RARE and UNUSUAL PLANT PICK!! This GREAT "Sweetheart Hoya" is seldom seen, except around Valentine's Day. But they are wonderful ALL YEAR LONG.
Technically---these are a SUCCULENT---so have a small pot and a fresh bag of Succulent/Cactus soil to pot it upon arrival. To get this leaf to root and establish itself--keep soil MOIST. Once established---cut back the moisture as they like to be on the dry side.
You are bidding on "ONE" medium sized leaf and stem. They are SLOW growers (like many succulents) but when they start---they are well worth the wait.
The STORY behind this plant is that my grandmother and grandfather raised me. When she passed away many years ago---the day of her funeral, I started "seeing" HEARTS. Hearts at the grocery store--hearts getting gas--rocks shaped like HEARTS---and on and on. I could not figure out why all of a sudden, that was coming up over and over again. I finally realized that every time I saw a HEART in or on something, it made me think of my precious grandmother, who I loved with all my HEART---WOW--"...with all my HEART"!! Years ago, I realized that the HEART was a wink from heaven, from her---"Loved her with all my heart...", used to go over and over in my head. Since then---the HEART has become a little special to me---to say the least. Needless to say, when I saw this plant---I wanted it!! UNTIL I looked at the PRICE TAG. I walked away. These are VERY expensive and nurseries charge up to $10.00 per LEAF!!! I wanted this BASKET sooo badly, I finally went today (my 3rd time to go and L@@K) I swallowed hard and PAID UP, when I saw that it was BLOOMING!!! So NOW, I have a basket full of reminders of my grandmother.
BUT---she also taught me to SHARE---so I am going to share one medium leaf of this basket. If you just love succulents---it's a MUST HAVE. Leaf is the solid green variety--not variegated.
