yes they are and one of the best features if you dont have a new tv they hook up to any tv with an av out

well its pretty simple u must have a wireless network to connect to. connecting is as easy as following onscreen prompts to set up wireless networking options and must have acounts to the streaming media service u wish to use and blamo once its on line it works as easy as a cable remote i use my wifi streaming appps mostly for netflix but pandora is a music channel type of app vudu is movie rentals as well hulu is also a move and dvd app,and so on
