I decided it's time to part with this lovely paperback book, which I bought new sometime in the 80s. It's a reproduction of a 1915 book, "The Priscilla Filet Crochet Book No. 2: A Collection of Beautiful Designs in Filet Crochet Introducing Filet Crochet Brode, Embroidery on Crochet and Cameo Crochet" (wow, some title!). It was edited by Mrs. F.W. Kettelle and published by Dover.

If you love filet crochet or want to learn this beautiful and easy technique, you should have this book! It contains a lot of pictures of beautiful projects (some of which are pictured here -- there are a lot of angels, ladies and florals plus a great scene of reindeer in the forest) plus full-size charts for many of them and a lot of interesting history as found in the original 1915 book. It has been kept in my smoke-free home, in a Rubbermaid container away from our dogs.
