I charge for shipping because it enables new Listia members to bid and win auctions. New members often do not have many credits. Items with free shipping sell for several times the amount that items with shipping charges do. New members would have to buy the extra credits and it costs less to buy shipping from me.

Postage rates have increased. Shipping is more than just the cost of postage, it also includes envelopes, bubble wrap, tape time spent packing, addressing, gas to the post office, waiting in line, uploading tracking numbers. Paypal takes a minimum cut of 8 – 10%. I still lose money on shipping, even when I charge for it, but charging helps makes it possible to list items.

Auction winners can pay their shipping charge by going to paypal.com and referencing my e mail address (lwghommel@yahoo.com). Then send me your verified address. Paypal will send me an e mail letting me know you have paid. If you don't have paypal, it is easy to set up. All you need is a bank account. Paypal is the best choice, but if you choose to mail me a check, let me know and I can give you my address. I cannot accept cash by mail. .

As soon as I receive your shipping payment, I carefully wrap your item and ship it. Then I will upload the tracking number to you. Usually next day at the latest.

If you fail to send address or shipping cost, credits will be kept and the item relisted per Listia rules. Listia will deactivate the accounts of repeat offenders
