The listing, Playstation 3!!! Please Read before bid! FREE SHIPPING!! has ended.

FIRST THIS NEEDS REPAIR! Does turn on but then freezes up after a few seconds and losses picture. Might be shot, might just need a good cleaning as you can see from the picture has finger prints and dust but can always be used for parts. Shows minor wear but nothing major. We got a new one so instead of trying to fix it I am just listing it here. Does come from a smoking and pet friendly home hence the reason I said it might just need a good cleaning. I could have washed it up before I took the pictures but I wanted to make it clear that this is a used unit. Does come with the power cable. No HDMI cord. No controller.

it looks like no one cleaned it. i always kept mine clean b4 my ex stole everything from me. i vacuumed out the dust every 3 to 4 days.

well if you need spare parts from it, then your playstion 3 will no longer have a warenty on it if you have one, so be carefull what your doing!

Is it well ventilated? Does it freeze at the same time always? Did you drop it sometime? Have you tried resetting it, in case an update wasn't installed properly?

I'm not sure what he has all tried on it. Like I said before when we turn it on it loads up and then after a minute or two the whole thing freezes and the fan is loud. Not sure if fixable or not. We just went and got a new one instead of messing with it honestly.

Great deal! Fanned and watching! I have the exact same model, well, I believe so... Is it the cechh01 model? My motherboard crapped out on me, so maybe if the motherboard on this is good and your freeze comes from blu-ray errors or power supply malfunction, it might be perfect, who knows, would be fun anyways!

SOUNDS to be a heat syc issue,as like with all the new gen systems(sony and MS xbox360)using sub par heat syc muck that break down after two years(spelling off)
well out of warrenty,so self repair is the the best way.rip it apart keep it up remove the junk muck,and replace it with a better grade thermal muck.sony is known for thier use of the cheapest thermal muck they can find.Would also replace back up battery while you're at it,as with the ps2 when not plugged in for a long time it drains it dry and won't take a full charge,if any at all.; just helping out here.

my playstation did the same thing its caused by overheating there is two chips on the motherboard that got to hot an separated themselves from the motherboard once this happens you will need to take it apart down to the motherboard using a heat gun you heat the chips back up an hopefully they stick back to the motherboard otherwise you will have to call playstation its gonna cost $120 an you send it in to them and if they cant fix it they will send you a brand new one ...i know about this happening to the playstation because i have had two of them do exactly the same thing an with doing a little bit of research i found the problem ...good luck

you dont need a warranty to have it fixed just call playstation pay $120 they will send you a box then you send the playstation back to them an 4 to 6 weeks later they will send you another one ...im 100% for sure about this but they wont send you a box unless you pay the $120 with a credit card over the phone dont ask me thats just how playstation wokrs

Nice auction. Almost the same problem we had with ours. It would come on, beep twice, and then the fan would get real loud. We bought another one..so far so good (knock on wood). Kept the old one in the closet for a little over a year, and then just gave it away to someone who needed the parts. Good luck on your auction.

Since you live in a house with smoke and pets it just might have pet hair or nicotine covering the eye on the inside so it might just need a good cleaning, if not it can be taken to some one with electronic knowledge and they might be able to repair it for a small fee!!

no it is not yellow. It turns on and loads but the freezes up and the picture the color is all off when it freezes.
