I am new to growing gourds do you know if the insides of them are edible

Im not to sure if they are edible.. my neighbor brings me some already dried every year.
all you have to do is dry the gourd out, sand the outside and sand it for a smooth finish and paint.

I did a google search and found this awesome website that will tell ya exactly what to do.apparently you can do alot more than birdhouses with these. (didnt know that) but here is the website.. just copy and paste this link..
