The listing, VINTAGE Antique 1950's - 60's Small Table Lamp with Bowl has ended.

This is a very unique piece. It is a small table lamp with a base made out of metal and a dish in a holder also attached. I have never seen anything like this. It is really cool and has that retro art deco look to it.

It does not look new but it is in good condition considering how old it is. A good cleaning and a light bulb is all is needed. We did notice though that it gets hot very fast so I would use this just for decorative purposes only putting it on a little while here and there unless you know a bit about electrical and can alter it the way it must be so it does not get hot. I wanted to let everyone know this to be safe.

I would just like to see someone who loves it get it.

it is a light that was used on the television sets so that the room would not be completely dark when your were watching television. is the lamp part plastic or glass? they were usually plastic.

Not sure someone gave it to me, it is kind of plastic though, very retro. The bowl is glass or ceramic. Thanks for your interest.

have you tried a less wattage bulb so it doesn't get too hot? f@w

No, I didn't I only had the regular type, it probably will not get so hot so fast, but I think cause of it's age it might still get hot.
